I'm completley new to Arduino and have just bought a boarduino kit and
FTDI chip USB/Serial cable at a Maker fair here in the UK.
I'm confused about drivers!
I've built the board and am raring to go but - do I need to just get
the FTDI driver for this cable or do I also need the Aduino USB driver
in addition? If both, in what order should I install them?
I guess the FTDI driver communicates with the chip in the cable but
dose it also fulfill the same function as the Arduino USB driver?
Specifically the cable is the TTL-232R-3V3 USB to Serial Cable I'm
running WinXP(v5.1)with SP3.
Thanks,
Tim

Re: Driver confuision
I believe the Arduino software comes with a set of the FTDI drivers. I went to the FTDI site and got the latest driver. I did not install the driver that came with Arduino-018.
