Ask an Industrial Control Systems Engineer

Post by easternstargeek »

Hiya!
Daniel here... I am a real-life industrial control systems engineer / programmer who has been in that biz for over 20 years. I have also been a tinkerer/maker/experimenter for over 40.

Most of the stuff I do is industrial, but sometimes I get to do things that are more fun. When I get bored, I make my own fun.

One of my specialties is safety engineering (IOW, thwarting attempts by grifters at playing "The Personal Injury BANNED" and suing my clients). But seriously- a little safety-oriented thinking is always recommended- especially when building things that move in a public venue.

In any case, I am thrilled to death to see so many of you folks out there doing stuff. As an old-school tinkerer, I was afraid that my favorite hobby was fading away.

Finally- I love to teach, and I love to help others do stuff. Who knows? Maybe I've already done something you want to do.

Ask me- I'm happy to help if I can!
