Error: Pairing Unsuccessful. Make sure "Adafruit EZ-Key 3f5a" is turned on, in range, and is ready to pair
Ez-key is in pairing mode based on the speed at which the light is flashing in according to your documentation.

The 3f5a device ID is a symptom of a batch of bad Bluetooth modules we got back in January 2014. They were on sale for about a week before we noticed the problem and pulled them from the store.
When did you get your EZ-Key, and did you get it directly from us or from a reseller?

Thank you for your quick response. I purchased it direct. I received it around christmas last year and just started working with it now.

That's the right timeframe, but you're *way* beyond our 30 day replacement/refund period.
