Connecting Gemma with nfr8001 Bluefruit LE

hi,
I am using a nRF8001 Bluefruit LE to enable bluetooth connectivity for Gemma.But by using the iOS(https://github.com/adafruit/Bluefruit_LE_Connect) app I was not able to detect the BLE device.Am I doing any thing wrong?.Also please suggest the code for connecting Gemma with a Bluefruit LE device.

The Gemma does not support the nRF8001 module.
You could use the BluefruitLE UART Friend module instead

Can I use a Flora bluefruit LE instead ?

You can use the Flora Bluefruit LE with a Gemma. However, it will need all three pins on the Gemma. Two pins for software serial RX and TX, and one pin for CTS.
