I have some questions for you guys about the arduino and how you started using it.
1. How did you learn about the Arduino?
2. When did you start using it?
3. How many boards do you own, and which ones are they? (Boarduino, Arduino NG, etc...)
4. What is the coolest Arduino project you've made?
5. How many, and what kind of, shields do you own?

Dailydiy.com
2. When did you start using it?
Two, perhaps three weeks ago.
3. How many boards do you own, and which ones are they? (Boarduino, Arduino NG, etc...)
One, Arduino Duemilanove (bought two, gave one to a friend).
4. What is the coolest Arduino project you've made?
It's all cool (code for "still learning" :)
Working on adapting the Aware Electronics RM-60 Geiger counter,
also working with two XBee radios (no project as yet).
5. How many, and what kind of, shields do you own?
One pshield from Adafruit!

Re: Arduino Stories
1. How did you learn about the Arduino?
I started seeing it pop up more and more on hacking blogs and decided I had to try it for myself. When I started building my x0xb0x, I had to set up a workbench anyway and figured it was a good time to start dabbling in digital electronics too.
2. When did you start using it?
A few months ago.
3. How many boards do you own, and which ones are they? (Boarduino, Arduino NG, etc...)
One boarduino, though I'm going to be ordering a few Atmega chips soon for projects and further tinkering.
4. What is the coolest Arduino project you've made?
I'm working on it now. ;)
5. How many, and what kind of, shields do you own?[/quote]
None yet. If I'm going to design an arduino-based project, I'm far more likely to just make my own boards.

Re: Arduino Stories
I just realized that I forgot to answer my own questions .
1. How did you learn about the Arduino?
Make Magazine. I kept reading about it, so I finally decided to start using it.
2. When did you start using it?
When I got my Arduino Starter Pack from Adafruit on Christmas Eve.
3. How many boards do you own, and which ones are they? (Boarduino, Arduino NG, etc...)
I own 2 Duemilanoves, with the ATmega 168 inside. I want to get a Seeeduino, Illumiantio, and a Boarduino.
4. What is the coolest Arduino project you've made?
RFID Shield.
5. How many, and what kind of, shields do you own?
1 ProtoShield from Adafruit (For prototyping)
1 ExtenderShield from Liquidware (doubles ports)
1 LithiumBackpack from Liquidware (Batterypack)
1 RFIDShield by ME! (Connects ID-12/ID-20 RFID readers to Arduino's)

Re: Arduino Stories
1. How did you learn about the Arduino?
Make or one of the other DIY type blogs a couple of years back
2. When did you start using it?
3. How many boards do you own, and which ones are they? (Boarduino, Arduino NG, etc...)
2 off the seeeduinos
4. What is the coolest Arduino project you've made?
Not a lot yet - too busy with studys and being sick
5. How many, and what kind of, shields do you own?
None, will prob not bother since I want to move away from the arduino to getting things built on stripboard. There is little reason to use an arduino or clone for anything more then a mockup/prototype. The serial converter is easily done with a USB nokia cellphone datacable and there are only 6-7 other parts needed to get the same functionality. Can just socket the processor on the board the other stuff is on.
