Re: AS5045 Rotary Position Sensor
I don't know of any plans to do so.
It looks like the item you linked uses a Hall-effect sensor, and we have those here: http://www.adafruit.com/products/158

Re: AS5045 Rotary Position Sensor
Thank you for your reply.
The Hall effect device you mention cannot detect the pointing of a rotating magnet - just its presence. The AS5045 could be used to detect a wind vane direction, or the rate and direction of any rotatable object carrying a diametrically-magnetised magnet button. It can also be used to help control model sailing boats by detecting the incident wind angle.
I thought it might well be worth adding to your accessory list.

Re: AS5045 Rotary Position Sensor
Spiney did you find a solution?
AMS has some new rotary sensors but I am not aware of any of the new ones being available in the States.
