I recently received a Beaglebone Black Rev C and ran in to a number of minor bumps which may be causing users new to Linux some problems:
1. The Debian image on the board has eth0 disabled in /etc/network/interfaces (line 9 is commented out). It's an easy thing to fix, but if you're new to Linux then it won't be obvious.
2. The on-board website directs the user to update to "the latest software". But it mentions that the board has 2GB of flash (wrong, it's 4gb), and then it points them to Angstrom. Which is not necessarily what they (or Adafruit) want.
Since I'm just getting started with this board I expect to run into a few other bumps. I'll update as I go along.

Concerns about the internals and the included software should be addressed here http://beagleboard.org/BLACK as they are the makers.
