Will the bmx board work on a 16" wheel? And other rambl

Post by ItalysBadBoy »

Greetings,

Love the work done on this project and good job on the directions. Now to my questions.

I have a folding bike with 16" wheels, I am wondering if the smaller board would fit?

Do the batteries make the wheels feel like they are unbalanced at higher speeds? I always thought about something like this and I would have attached the batteries with Velcro around the hub. Maybe next version?

What about adding memory and having a different designs to choose from? This would probably add a little to the cost but would be worth it.

Finally a suggestion for a design would the image of those little 45 RPM record inserts and program the image rotating at half the speed of the wheels.

That's it for now, IBB

just get a bigger eeprom they make a 1024 k version

you could rewrite the button routines to select image modes. after power on press the button to select which images to use, but use the leds to tell you the position in memory.

as 1k is needed for each image a 1024k eeprom would allow 1024 images :-)

i dont think it'll fit on 16" wheels, the small board is made to fit on 20" bmx wheels and thats pretty much it
