did you follow the instructions for downloading the firmware? are you in the directory with the files? use "ls" to see the files in Terminal

When I type "ls" it says

where did you download and uncompress the firmware?

One small problem. When I open up the SLM firmware, there is no slm.hex like the magazine said. Just Makefile, and slm.c

type in "make" that should make the .hex

Question : are windows need PL2302 driver update? and i still use serial port, but the respone are still not responding. Even i've try to burn fuse it since i'm not use the kit version. what must i do? please help... Thx

it should work, but we dont support DIY versions so you're kind of on your own

Umm.. well then, maybe it's not related but, is it still need a kind of avr downloader to send the hex files to my minipov? since my friend told me that this device need it. And yet, i've only use serial cable from my computer directly to my minipov. thx for your attention.
