I've got the MiniPOV3 working with a spare laptop direct connect to serial. Programming using repulsor.net assistance has been 50/50.
For some reason, it seems that longer text messages (say 15+ characters) will seem to program correctly (no errors) but the MiniPOV3 will not do anything. Nothing flashes.
Reprogram with a shorter text (8 chars) and it's working again.
Also, a couple of times I have been able to program it but the last couple of characters are not correct. The entire letter is just a couple of pixels.
Could all this be a timing issue I can test through modifying makefile or something else? I read that up to ~500 lines can be programmed and I know I am nowhere near that limit (more like ~100-125 for my largest attempt).
Thanks again for all the support,
MSS <---

I cannot find that file. There is largeimage - but it is only ~25 lines.
I do not see it in \minipov3\ or in the instructions write-up.

largeimage is the file you want. it stores the image in program memory, (2k - program size), instead of sram (128 bytes - other data). i would guess that you could get 1k bytes of image in there, but your arm would probably get kind of sore swinging the thing.
