MINIPOV4 Win8.1 Drivers

Post by jgoldin1 »

Hello,
My MiniPOV4 kit came in yesterday and i soldered it all up. i applied power and it lights up and blinks like it should. i was ready to start uploading my own images, but when i connect the USB, i cannot get it to recognize the device.

i have downloaded and tried to install the driver. When i click on "installer_x64", a command line flashes on the screen for a second and I can't tell exactly what it says. i have tried to run it directly from a command console, but it refuses to run. Even though i have a 64-bit system, i figured i'd give the "installer_x86" a shot. It asked me if the executable should run (security settings) and then i guess ran. Then it asked if it should run in compatibility mode (which i said yes). Windows wasn't sure if it ran correctly and asked me if it did.

I have added pictures of the board (front and back) and the console window. Any ideas?

Jgoldin1, I have the exact same problem and cannot resolve it. By applying power, did you mean that you turned on the minipov with the batteries in? Because I've done that, and nothing happens.

Thanks for posting your solution! I ran into the same problem and duh, it needs power to be able to talk.
