I have a mini POV3 kit we just finished soldering up but the 2nd LED (in order of the test sequence). This was a father daughter project and my 13 yr.old did the soldering so I'm not sure if we overheated the board. I tried desoldering the LED, but now I think the pad is toast (it won't take solder at all). Is there any way to get a replacement PCB? Or are there other options to get us back on track?
Thanks,
Dave ....

Re: MiniPOV3 board problem
Could we see a picture of the board? Perhaps we can give some advice. Take a look at this Soldering Guide for some pointers.

Site tells me the image file is invalid. I tried attaching a JPEG, but now realized the side was too large. Here are the pics front and back. one from the back if after I removed the LED.

Re: MiniPOV3 board problem
Test the LED before you do any soldering but if you run the leads to the points on the picture you might be able to get it working.
