Protecting the POV

interested in getting the POV n minipovs set but how does one protect the povs from damage.(water/springing of the bicycle/mud) since is exposing the whole chip???.

Here in the UK we use a spray on conformal coating to give a thin film overy all over the board, in other applications we havve use epoxy resin to apply a 2 or 3mm clear coating.

The problem with this board will be the connector and switch which will need to be masked to prevent coating, or the switch will not work and the header pins will be insulated.
