My first build kit of any kind, and it's done. I got a kit from James (who made it appear on my doorstep 4 days later, all the way from Taiwan... impressive) who also answered every dumb question I had, and I appreciate that very much.

Now, Izze, where did you get those knobs? oh LAWD those are perfect.

Hey there..

Well the knobs were really expensive, i had to import them from KORG in Great Britian and Japan. They werent on stock anywhere. And they are expensive, originally they are used on the Korg EMX-1 Series.

So I finished my x0x the other day, thought i'd post a pic and an audio clip.

Hope you enjoy =)

This clip has some distortion from Soundtoys Decapitator and a touch of verb from Soundtoys Echoboy

My x0xb0x build:

The case was cnc'd to a single sheet of aluminium that was then bent to shape and spray-painted. The decals were made using Lazertran (= bad idea), this turned out the "second annoying fail" besides the paint mask mishap towards the front edge.

Near standard PCB, only the horizontal switches are rotated so that the button set is unidirectional. The keyboard is somewhat a kludge but I wanted to use the Omron B3J type.
