thanks for the kind words.

it's amazing how for 15 years i've been trying to get 'that' sound with various combinations of hardware/software, and now i just plug the box in - done.

and for the record, the closest i ever got before, hardware or software, was rebirth - those guys really did their homework.

hah!
quite the same story here..
10 years since i started trying to make that sound
started developing a software synth and..
now i'm getting close, lots of effort and lots of people involved..

rebirth had it's own character, it's not really close, but it surely is an amazing piece of software, considering the year it was created, i'm mainly talking about the bassline there, as the drum machines were sampled but yet, the sequencers make the whole fun possible :mrgreen:

Thats awesome, how did you do that? Looks like the spiral is beneath all the engravings.

Yes you are right the engraving is on top.

I spray-painted the underside of an acrylic (transparent) panel. First the spiral in red (I cut out a stencil for it), then black on top of it.

Unfortunately I ripped the stencil in half when lifting it off the panel... I spent nearly 2 hours making it, and used paper in stead of acetate :roll:

@joolz:
glad you like the demo, thanks for saying so.
regarding your paint, that is exactly what i was planning on doing with my clear acrylic panels, painting them. glad to know someone else has done it and it looks good.

She's a beauty, mate!
Are the buttons also aluminium or is that a spray paint job?

My Willzyx x0xb0x with SubStyler's Aluminum enclosure kit and knobs. The LED's are Blue Green & Purple, why? I don't know but it's kind of cool...
