No. It's DC, you need AC.

Ok, that explains why an old wallwart from fry's made it sound so horrible. Sorry about the double post. I've got one that is 9v 1000ma but that seems like a bit much.

Do you have a voltmeter?
Measure it. Does it shoot much higher than 9v?
If not, 9v 1000ma ac will work.

I ended up buying a couple AC 9v 500ma with 2.1mm and 5.5 mm adapter from that distributer. They work great. Thanks for catching that.
