Internal PSU

Post by spotta »

Hi

I've just started populating my boards and already i'm thinking about getting a custom wood case made and having an internal PSU.
I've had a search but cannot find any threads about this.
Can anyone who has done such a mod point me in the right direction, or thread - or is this a bad idea and worth me forgetting about?

thanks.

Should be simple. Simply get a 115 to 9VAC transformer rated for enough current and thats it. a 300 mA torroid would be very small and easy to fit anywhere. I'm assuming you know how to work around mains voltages though, if not, I'd HIGHLY suggest you DONT do this.

I've worked with mains (240v) appliances all my life fixing them, but I will read up on it as this is the first time I've actually built a PSU :D
thanks.
