hey,
i bought the xoxbox kit and the 9VAC transformer from the german xoxboxshop.de.
this is my first project.
I'm building the first section, the power supply like the ladyada build manual says.
so there is the problem, i have soldered all the parts wich are needed for this section together but i can't measure voltage at j4.
the only place i can measure 11 V AC is at the pins of the 2.1 mm power jack.
i don't get voltage at the capacitors or any other measure point followed in the build manual.
i hope someone can help me!!

Re: Power Supply No Voltage
You will probably find that there is supposed to be a wire link soldered in near the power socket. This is so that you can fit an optional power switch, if you want. But if you don't fit one, then the link needs to be soldered in, or you get no power.
Not all boards allow for a power switch (without some hacking), but the x0xsh0p ones do. So build instructions from Adafruit for examples don't mention it.

Re: Power Supply No Voltage
You should see 2 holes/pads next to the power socket on the PCB. You just need a bit of wire soldered across them both
Any wire will do. Something like a snipped resistor leg or whatever is fine.
