Building the power supply
Hi, I have a Willzyx kit, and am currently working on building the power supply. I went to test the voltage on the 0.1uF ceramic capacitor at C1, and am getting 2.6 VDC, where the guide says I should be getting between 5.75 and 6.25. Don't know if its related, but the 7806 6V regulator feels very hot to the touch. Could anyone recommend a course of action? I'm thinking of replacing the regulator and/or the capacitor, but really have no idea if that's what I should try next or if it's necessary. Any help is very appreciated. Thanks!
