All I managed to move forward on was the test fit of the PCAs into the new enclosure.
I have the rear PCA stack all sorted, but the front boards were not as easy.
My enclosure supports the front plate on 7 points, not just the 4 corners like the original box. There are collisions on the center support tabs with a couple x0xi0 LEDs. And a couple standoffs need to be shaved down to compensate for the center top tabs.
I shaved 3 standoffs and each time took off a little to much metal (.005”) I have 3 more to play with.
There is also a little filing required along the sides of the case to clear the POTs and switches on the outer edges of the wide x0xi0 top PCA.

I got a couple of hours in on the metalwork.
Lots of filing on the front case enclosure to provide proper clearance
I successfully filed the standoffs to exactly 0.2810”
I had to increase the size of the holes in the case front to compensate for slight misalignment (the board-stack it tight)
I replaced 4 LEDs with new colors (added pink and purple)
I had to reassemble a couple times to get it right with everything aligned.
There was a transistor on the top edge of the x0xi0 top PCA that needed to be removed, re-bent and laid flat for clearance.

The LEDs on the sequencer are recessed under the front plate because of the increased standoff, but I kind of like the 3-D look, with the LEDS shining on the very nice polished cut-outs, they will make a halo effect.
The keyboard LEDS are such that if you run your finger across the panel, you just feel the top of the dome.
The RAS LEDs are flush to the faceplate bottom.
The new LEDs that I installed are now domed above the faceplate like the LEDS in the analog trigger circuitry of the x0xi0.
I hope it is not too much with the new colors, but I have the intensity of all the LEDs set low, though I am not yet sure how the x0xi0 LEDs will illuminate with the replacement LEDs I installed (cyan not red). I did not test them. Maybe I need to do that before I finalize the PCAs.

Next will be re-installing the rear PCAs and planning out the arrangement and drill size of the overdrive and additional performance controls.

I’ll get a picture or 2 up tonight of the x0xb0x 111 and x0xi0 in the new enclosure with all boards, knobs and buttons installed.

The complete assembly (almost)
This box is heavy and solid.

Taken all apart again.

Now it is time to get the holes drilled down the side panels for the extra controls.
I also found another collision or 2 that I will have to sort out.

I drilled all the holes (actually in hindsight, I missed one) for the extra front controls and the controls moved from the back of the box (overdrive +)

Thanks!
I was wondering when someone was going to comment on my thread.
It is a quiet community here indeed.

I have not moved forward on the build because I am waiting for my parts shortages to arrive.
Then I can finalize the PCAs and wire them together.

I wonder how it will sound? I wonder if the direct power input will induce a 60Hz hummmm?

Cheers :D

That is effing funny.

Dude, you are posting pictures of your wife and motorbikes in a x0xb0x modification board. You should be glad there haven't been more comments!

EDITED OUT: various non x0xb0x-related comments.

You're welcome.

I like the x0xb0x and mods :) But the bikes, I couldn't care less about to be honest. I've a feeling most others here are of much the same opinion. After all, it's not what we come here to see
But once again, the x0xb0x looks excellent! Good job 8)

All reference to anything but the x0x has been removed.

Please delete your comments on my non-x0xb0x related content.
Thank you

My thoughts:
I am passionate about many things and get carried away.
I did not use proper discrimination.

There is such a thing as self-responsibility. But no one person can draw that line of self-responsibility for another.

Approach life with common sense and sometimes just with common courtesy.
