I haven't started yet, but I figured it would be a good idea to separate this out from the other thread.
The only question I have is a pre-build one. Should I socket the rare parts in the x0x if I am going to be installing the x0xi0 kit? It seems like having any sockets for the ICs would be a bad a idea from a maintenance standpoint and could make installing the kit unnecessarily difficult. Should I avoid it where I can and only socket the rare parts that the x0xi0 kit doesn't get patched into?

i finised my xoxio last night. I got all IC's and transistors socked except the one (IC12) Brian stated should not be soked for clearance.
It works well =)
