dc power supply ?

hello there im interested in building a x0xb0x but id want it to be powerd from dc, sothat i could run it from my solarpanels batteries. is it possible to do this reliably, ive read that some one ran theres from 15v dc. Would this damage the unit long term

you might be able to find an inverter that would create the ac you need from the dc you have

its defently possible to alter the power supply to run with dc.. but with extra circuitry.. and a higher voltage than 9V would be required than.. solar pannels are 24 volts..so that is not the problem...

as for the invertor i have a full sine wave one at home, but id like to use the x0xb0x with my portable festival setup so it would be better from dc directly
while some solar panels are 24v mine are 12v but its still no problem to get a higher voltage than 12v, where would i find out about this extra circuitry you mention

the x0x i have here (which isnt mine) runs on 5v (because it has a laptop battery)
