i think those 3 options on the FUNC knob have been free during the first build of the x0x, and thus they have labaled them this way on the front panel
later, USER A has become Pattern Edit (MIDISYNC) <- that's how it's printed on my x0x

User A is labelled PAT-EDIT (MIDI) also on my box. I found the code for that deactivated in sokkOS2.0, I guess it was active in 1.9. It brings the machine into pattern edit mode, while also turning on MIDI sync. I re-activated it also for MarOS1.2, which in basically sokkOS2.0.
