adjustable envelope attack time

Post by th0mas »

Anyone know if it's possible to control ENV attack time with a potentiometer?

there should be some schematics for this
buried somewhere in the forums
i would suggest using google to search them

I found schematics made for a full ADSR but I don't know what the components are on the existing AD envelope to modify and what are new parts specfic to the ADSR implementation

if you just want to change the attack
you only use the front portion of the schematic

place one end of a .22uf capacitor
at the juncture of r133 and r131
and the other end to ground
and then put a a diode from that same juncture
to the d34 and d35 juncture
so that the diode conducts
when the gate is turned off

this increases the attack time from .75ms to 2.5ms or so
it also increases the release time from 10ms to 20ms
varying r133 varies the attack time
the release time is set by r145
which cant be made much smaller

its pretty subtle like this
but if you put in the transitor buffer before r131
you can make the attack and decay times much longer or shorter
