Maxsonar ultrasonic range finder

Post by soapdodger »

Found these sensors today, looks to me that they will work fine with the Adio board due to an analog output.

Looks like a good alternative to a sharp infra red sensor considering the much greater range.

can someone confirm that they will work?

these do look nice, but realize that the resolution is 1 inch: that may be too much for people.

particularly w/ hand gestures: 1 inch resolution is going to give you a very grainy sweep.

for non-musical devices though (alarms, fun stuff like that) it could be amazing.
