Well, finally i got a usb midi cord, time to check it out. First thing i noticed is, when i power up midisense (without any resistors/switches connected) the green ligt keeps on flashing. When monitoring in midiox, lots of data come in. When i bounce it back to midisense, i do not see a red light blinking.
problem seems to be similar to this topic
unfortunately i had to take pictures with my phone, which are not that good.. anyway:

Any suggestions?

hmmm is the ceramic resonator symmetric? ie: could i have placed it in backwards or something? tried to verify firmware with the online version, but it states 'lost connection'
added a logfile: MidiLog.txt
this is what you get if you wire up midisense, capture input on pc, about 4-5 seconds after poweron...

what do you mean "bounce back"monitoring in midiox, lots of data come in. When i bounce it back to midisense, i do not see a red light blinking.

this is the topside. Im pretty sure there are no overlapping solder blobs or something. I'm about to check it out at a friends place on another midi device (emu sound card, not a usb unit). Brb

oke, small update... It was (probably) not the midi device, same problem here.
but we found one pin of the midi optocoupler that has a bit of a loose solder connection, i resoldered it and now got sometimes a blipping red light. That is some, but it still won't make a connection. When im back at home tonight i will check all solder points once more...

finally back home. 2 am here ^^ Anyway, http://members.chello.nl/c.ven/midisense/midisense1.log is the debugview log, if that was what you wanted to see. Did another check on all solder connections, no strange things. The dip-switches are supposed to be all off? Tried some settings, doesnt change anything.
On every 'sending packet' in the debugview log, i see a red light blipping on the board. The green midi light starts flashing about 3 seconds after power on and it doesnt stop. The usb midi interface wich i used to get the log: its an ESI romI/O 2xOUT 1xIN thing. Yes, i selected the right out/in cable in midisense software. The log for verify firmware is about the same.. sending packet..timeout..sending packet..timeout...
Well, it is bedtime for me, more testing tomorrow..
