MintyBoost resistors

Postby coffeeguy » Mon May 30, 2011 1:25 pm

One thing which stood out to me in the MintyBoost's design is how you incorporated a separate voltage divider for each data pin. Wouldn't it (the design) work just as well using one each of the resistors, bridging the two data pins and connecting the bridge to the voltage divider output? It wouldn't save a whole lot of money in parts costs, but would save a little bit of clutter in the PCB design and component arrangement. Or is there a reason you used a separate voltage divider for each data pin? Just curious; thanks for sharing your work with all of us!!!

that is not how apple designs them, we used their design for the best compatibility
