Yeah - the build looks fine. I'd trim the soldered ends of the battery wires.

Minty #2 went much better

I built my second Minty Boost last night. It went much better. I only had to wick off one solder bridge. Maybe I should get myself one of those Soldering Skill Badges. I also stuck the USB onto the board before I soldered it up and used it and the still un-peeled foam tape to guide my nibbling of the opening. That went really well and I am very happy with the way it turned out. Only four left to build. What a great gift for family and friends. Oh, and the Extech Digital Multimeter is well worth the money. No funny voltage readings. Lesson on that is you just shouldn't skimp on a basic instrument or tool.
