I need clarification on the parts that came with my MintyBoost. It includes 2 kinds of resistors but I think 2 of the ones in my kit are different than what the parts list describe. It appears I have 2 resistors that are brown in color 7502F? All other parts look OK. Can someone confirm? I included a picture.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Parts question
The body color of the resistors varies somewhat and is not important. What matters is the color of the stripes.

Re: Parts question
OK but the one I am questioning does not have any stripes. It just has black numbers/letters on it. I would just like the identification of it so I know where it goes on the circuit board. Can someone identify what it is?
Thank you

Re: Parts question
What do the letters/numbers say? They look like resistors. Sometimes they are marked with a numerical value instead of the color code.

Re: Parts question
That would be a 75K ohm resistor. What are the color codes on the blue resistors in your kit?

Re: Parts question
The blue resistors I have are the 49.9K so it makes sense that these would be the 75K resistors. I suspected as much but wanted confirmation since it didn't look like the blue resistors.
Thanks

Re: Parts question
I'm a little upset with this kit ... first I'm missing one of the 5 band resistors, no biggie, maybe I lost it, I have another OK. The bigger problem is with the 75K, I'm thinking someone changed the supplier because the new resistors look NOTHING like the pictures and more importantly they DO NOT FIT THE PCB .. labeled 7502F RN55D DALE 1150J

Re: Parts question
Yes, our supplier switched to a different source and they are larger. You should be able to mount it vertically as in the one in the photo below:

Re: Parts question
I mounted it vertically and everything seems to be working as it should.

@kpintar
@MyNameIsMongo
Our kit BANNED say they've never seen resistors like these. Where did you buy your kits?

Re: Parts question
Not sure how this happened, perhaps RS substituted some parts? Either way, we've added your lovely photo to the instructions, hopefully that will help others who encounter the same resistors

Re: Parts question
WOW my daughter and I feel humbled and honored to be included in the instructions. My daughter who is 10 years old spearheaded our endeavor in this adventure as a science fair project. This project taught her many things such as: cutting and stripping wire, soldering (yes she learned how to), how to use a multi-meter, use tin snips, etc...
Thank you for supplying such projects for all to learn.
