Looking for place to get some replacement minty boost parts

Post by jaycee »

I ordered the v3 mintyboost through a 3rd party retailer on amazon (to get it prime next day delivery--my impatience has cost me here) and it arrived missing parts. I'm trying to track down a place to source the missing bits, rather than buying the kit all over again.

I'm missing a 1/8W 1% 75K resistor and a 1/8W 1% 49.9K resistor (kit is supposed to have 2, I only have 1 of each) (Parts list: https://learn.adafruit.com/minty-boost/parts-list). I don't mind having to order many of these resistors--I'll put the rest in my hackerspace--but I haven't been able to find them at all.

I know adafruit doesn't sell individual parts, but I was wondering if you could say where you were sourcing these parts from? There's no link for either of these resistors in the parts list either. :(

Thanks for any help!

Sounds like you bought a counterfeit. Can you post a link to the Amazon page?
You might try Jameco, Mouser, or Digi-key for parts.

Sure, the amazon reseller was Inkbright, here's the mintyboost.

Also, mouser worked. For anyone else that finds this thread:
Thanks!

Ah - InkBright is an official Adafruit reseller, so it's not a counterfeit. I've notified the kitting team about the missing resistors. Sorry for the trouble.
