MintyBoost Problem
When I was putting the batteries in to the battery holder one of the negative sides began to melt
and smoke. It looks like it was missing the silver cap on the end. I am wondering if it was the missing piece is what caused the holder to melt? Or what else could have caused it. The picture is the battery holder after it melted! Please help! Also I am wondering if I would just be able to replace the battery holder or I would have to start from scratch. Thanks!!

Re: MintyBoost Problem
It could be due to a short circuit in the holder itself, or on your MintyBoost board. Please post some photos of the front and back of the MintyBoost board so we can make sure that is OK.

Re: MintyBoost Problem
Check the solder joints circled below to make sure they are not touching.

Re: MintyBoost Problem
OK. It is probably a defective battery holder then. Please contact [email protected] with a link to this thread and ask for a replacement MintyBoost battery holder.
