Just got most of the hardware done, still waiting on the amplifiers and the VCO's to get here, hopefully within the next week. And then there's the RF inductor that made a break for the other side of the room when I tried to pick it up with a pair of tweezers. But I don't think it turned out half bad. I wirewrapped the two boards together since I guess it's still technically "in progress" and I've got a pair of wires to connect the battery since I didn't want to hack up the JST on the only one I have . Anyway, hardware was no problem, software, not so sure. Plugged everything in and there wasn't any smoke so that was a victory, plugged in a programmer (AVR Pocket Programmer) and ran AVRDude with the hardware test file from the wiki and it looks like no joy. Plugging a usb cable in gives me a COM9 with 19200 8N1 settings so that looks like it's all good, so the chip is obviously working, but I can't seem to do a loopback test with any serial data. No fun. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I'd highly appreciate them. But in the mean time, photo op!
My turn for a build thread I guess.
The operation of transmitters designed to jam or block wireless communications is a violation of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended ("Act"). See 47 U.S.C. Sections 301, 302a, 333.
