Only 2 Banks Showing in SpokePOV Software 1.4

I've been using my SpokePOV's with no problems for a few months, and recently upgraded to Windows 7. Now when I use the software to connect to them (serial port, COM1), only 2 banks show up instead of 4. I have 3 SpokePOV's and this behavior happens on all of them, which leads me to believe it's not a EEPROM problem.

I just downloaded the older Python version of the software (1.2), and the 4 banks show up correctly. This leads me to believe its some type of problem with the Windows 7 drivers for my motherboard (ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe) and the C++ code for SpokePOV 1.4. But I did go back to my old Windows XP installation and try running the SpokePOV 1.4 again, and only 2 banks show up there as well.

Thoughts? I can limp along using 1.2 at this point, but it's really slow. If I left anything out let me know. Thanks!

Just an update, after running 1.2, I tried going back to 1.4 and now all 4 banks show up correctly in both. Yay!
Problem solved for me, but there might still be an underlying issue (that is fixed by some serial port communication that's in 1.2 but not 1.4).
