Good Day.
Will this adapter USB/Serial Converter - PL2303 (http://www.adafruit.com/index.php?main_ ... ucts_id=18) work on my computer? I have no LPT, COM-port, I have just USB. I have tried several adapters (Trendnet, for example), but the program gives out "the connection error". Port number is correct and corresponds to the port which I point in program. And different types of delay cannot help. Though I have connected it to the laptop of my friend, and I had no problems. In his laptop the USB-COM adapter is installed in ExpressCard. What is the problem? In old computers (computers that have COM-port) there are no problems with connection. If offered by you adapter can decide the problem of connection?
(OS Windows XP)
Best regards.
p.s. .... I am sorry for my bad English

Re: SpokePOV Serial Dongle problem
hmm, well it has more to do with the chip/driver
did you try the tests? can you even get to the testing point?

No, the test also gives an error. I'm confused. What do you advise? Maybe I am still looking to buy your adapter? And the problem will be solved

Re: SpokePOV Serial Dongle problem
the best thing is actually a usb adapter (usbtinyisp) as its much faster than a usb-serial adapter. (since you dont have serial)

Re: SpokePOV Serial Dongle problem
Thank you very much, I will take your advice.
P.S. I used the adapters like this to make connection. How do you think, if it's possible to make connection while using one of the pointed adaptors (USB-UART), directly to microcontroller (for example, Rx or Tx)? And if it's possible, in this case, to work with images only? (There is no need in programming of microcontroller).
Best regards.

Re: SpokePOV Serial Dongle problem
Any of specified in a screenshot does not work. I have checked up all of them. But very much it would be desirable, that SpokePOV worked from USB. Let even on slow speed (through the adapter)

Re: SpokePOV Serial Dongle problem
