I have built 2 SpokePOV kits, both are fully functional (stored patterns work fine), however I cannot for the life of me get the USB dongle to connect! I built it a few weeks back, and used it to program a few AVR chips (Yes, I left in the resistors for making it compatible with the SpokePOV), so the programmer seems to work...
When I fire up the SpokePOV program on the PC, I ran the test routine... if I leave the USB power jumper in, it works, but you're supposed to remove it for a self-powered device, and I get no signals... I tried just plugging it into a spokePOV kit and it's not reading.
So, I hope I've put in enough info... Are there any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!

Re: USB dongle not connecting
remove the jumper, power your spokepov and just before connecting do a 'hard reset' by flicking one of the battery clips

Re: USB dongle not connecting
Yep, that did the trick! Hard reset just before physically plugging in the USB did it
Still don't know about the test routine, but if it works it doesn't matter. Thanks so much for the help!
