is lipo ok?
is it ok to use lithium cells? and if so how much voltage can each spoke, or 3 combined, take?

Re: is lipo ok?
So, just to be clear,
You can run a Spoke POV off one of these:
http://www.adafruit.com/index.php?main_ ... cts_id=258
?
Will that be enough juice to power blue LEDs?
If so, then it looks like it would be a way better option for weight and waterproofing.
What would the drawbacks be?
Thanks,
Dan

Re: is lipo ok?
Awesome - that is great to know.
One more question.
If I wanted to put 3 blue Spoke POVs on one wheel, could I power all 3 of them with just one of these?

That would be suuuuuuper convenient! Way better than 9 AAs.

Re: is lipo ok?
So I went ahead and ordered some Spoke POVs along with a few Lipo batteries (3 small & 1 big).
Questions...
1) Do they come with male/female connectors? (i.e. The bits I'd need to wire the batteries into a circuit).
2) How do I wire them up to the Spoke POV?
3) Would I need to add any resistors or anything extra?
4) Has anyone else tried this yet?
Thanks,
Dan

Re: is lipo ok?
you will have to make your own connector for the spokepov but you should just be able to connect the lipo to the power input jumper near the top. you'll need some JST male connectors

Awesome.
Will I have to cut the trace on the board if I plan on using the LiPo to power blue LEDs?
