One of the two spokePOVs I have assembled has a weird error..
It was initially showing nothing much- a few flashes of led activity.
I could connect to it and upload images, it seemed happy and when I hit 'verify' it said that the image was correct.
It still displayed nothing much- a few random flashes.
I could verify it was talking to the controller OK- as it remembered the rotation offset I had set.
When I attempted to read back the image that had succesfully verified, I just got a tiny streak of pixels on bank 1- about 4 pixels from the middle.
However when I replaced the eprom with a fresh one it worked fine- it displayed the biohazard symbol, and I could flash it with my custom image which worked perfectly.
Faulty eprom?
In which case, how come it verified? What does verify actually do?
Any light that can be shed on this is much appreciated.
Tim

Re: weird eprom error
It is possible that you have an intermittant connection somewhere and inserting the chip 'fixed' it. You might want to go over your soldering and re-flow anything that looks suspect.
