I purchased this version of the Spoke POV kit about a year ago and its been working great.

Recently, I noticed 1 of the microcontroller chips (2313V-10PU) on 1 of the boards was missing and Ive been looking for an exact replacement. I found that Digikey had what seemed to be the same item.

But, when trying to communicate from my computer to it with my USB dongle, it keeps failing. I can talk to the other boards just fine, so I know there is no issue with the dongle, cable, or USB port on my computer. When looking at the information between the microcontrollers closer, I noticed my new replacement chip from Digikey had the number 1228 above the 2313V-10PU, while the ones I originally received with the Spoke POV kit say either 1033 or 1035. Im assuming this may be the frequency, but my bigger question is whether or not someone knows the exact part number for the chips that ship with this kit, or does anyone know of a place that sells these exact chips that they have confirmed to work with their Spoke POV?

Re: Part Number of Microcontroller
You've got the right chip.
How did you lose the original chip? I don't think it would simply fall out by itself. Have you checked the socket and circuit board for damage? Are the solders on the socket still solid? Are any of the socket's internal pins bent, damaged, or missing?
