Tricolor LEDs

Post by Bronto »

I received a gift from my brother that had these LEDs on it.

These RGB LEDs are way cool, and seem to have lots of potential for a full color SpokePOV 2.0!
Whaddya think, LadyAda? Are these overly complicated of prohibitively expensive to work with? I have a well connected friend in the LED biz if that's any help.

The LEDs I linked to are RBG in the same bulb.

But ok, I get the hint.

I guess one persons expensive is another person's affordable. According to my calcs it would add about $20 to the kit part cost.

i assure you it would add much more than $20 to the kit cost, as well as make it more difficult to assemble.

i've answered this question enough times to put it in the faq...so consider this my final post on the issue. i am not planning to offer a kit version anytime soon.

if you want an RGB spokepov you are free to design one yourself using the open source design files!
