SMT Version?

SMT Version?
Have you thought of making a SMT version of SpokePOV? This would maybe cut down on the weight a bit and possibly the size too. Not necessarily all the parts or anything, but just the board for people who can do SMT soldering and rework easily.

there is no smt version planned anytime soon.
the weight is primarily the batteries...
the PCB wouldnt be significantly smaller since it has to be just as long and hold all the batteries in the same orientation...
it would also be more difficult for people to assemble and thus add more support costs..
therefore there is no benefit for me to sell 2 versions!
