Hi
I am looking to buy a servo that I can attach mirrors to for use as x and y axis galvanometers. This is to be able to control a laser and produce a light show.
I would think, that it does not need lots of torq, but rather high speed.
Any suggestions?
thanks
C

Re: Best servo motor to use for laser galvanometer
Servo motors and galvanometers are very different beasts. A servo motor has a DC motor and a gear-train and is way too slow for controlling a laser. A galvanometer is just a coil on low friction bearings in a magnetic field. We don't have any mirror galvanometers in the store. But if you search "Mirror Galvanometr" on the web you should get plenty of hits.
