Analog Modulation of Laser Intensity

Post by johnreed »

Is it possible to get more detailed specs on the model 1054 and 1056 lasers? I have built a simple transitor-based circuit that modulates the current supplied to a 1054, which works OK. But to optimize the design, I need more information about the laser. I also would like to know, at least in general terms, what circuitry is enclosed within the case (e.g., is there diode protection against static electricity?). Finally, I'm wondering what pulsing circuit is included in the 1056 so I can determine if it only can be modulated ON and OFF via TTL pulses or if there is some way to simply produce analog modulation. My application is a photophone, so I need an analog-modulated light intensity in my beam.

We don't have any details - sorry! Everything we have is on the product page.
