The only comment regarding a switch says there isn't one, which is correct.
Are you getting 1.5v between the VCC and GND pins on the 555 chip, as shown in the image a few posts up?

Re: Drawdio not working
Exactly which image are you referring to? Please re-post the image.
And the directions on the adafruit page ABSOLUTELY say there is a switch--see number 2 under troubleshooting:
If its not making noise, try:
1. Wiggle the battery holder a little to make sure it's making contact.
2. Check that the switch is turned on.
3. Check that the components are correctly placed and soldered well. Re-touchup the solder points in case you have cold solder joints.
If there is no switch, maybe you should remove this from the instructions?

Re: Drawdio not working
The v1 Drawdio kit had a switch, but the v1.1 doesn't.
Since you're working with the kit and not the preassembled version, could you post a photo of your hardware please? 800x600 images usually work best.

I have reduced them as much as I know how, but can't seem to post images. Can you please send the steps? When I click the insert image icon above, it gives me a string with the cursor in the middle, but doesn't take the image. I can't cut and paste, nor can I drag and drop.

I see them. Could you make them bigger (800x600 works well)
