Was this the pre-assembled drawdio? Because the battery holder looks like it's installed backwards.

I checked with our kit fabricators. That looks like a one-off error.

Please email [email protected] with a link to this thread, and they'll get you a new Drawdio fun pack!

I purchased a drawdio pre-assembled kit which is not working either. The position of the battery holder is the same as on this picture, so that might be the reason. I have sent an e-mail to [email protected] one week ago but didn't got any reply yet. I would appreciate if you could help me. Thank you!

I can not find directions for assembly the Drawdio Fun pack. I assembled it as best I could based on the kit instructions. I can get it to make noise if I touch both ends of the copper tape with my hands - but not by drawing. I do not understand what the alligator clips are for or how to attach it to the paint brush. The package it came in gives a web address for tutorials and documentation, however all that I can find is videos demonstrating the finished product, not how to attach or assemble the pieces. In desperation I even sharpened both ends of the pencil trying to establish a connection - nothing.

Complete assembly instructions are here:
https://learn.adafruit.com/drawdio/overview

You don't want to sharpen both ends of the pencil. The thumbtack should insert through the copper tape and into the graphite.

Thanks - I'll try that. How about how to attach it to the paint brush?

Hi,

I am sorry for not replying to your request immediately, I have just noticed it.

I am attaching the photo of the drawdio pre-assembled kit, as I have mentioned before, the battery pack seems to be reversed:

@kusovir - Yes, that appears to be backwards. What happens if you put the battery in the other way?

If the battery is turned the other way, the drawdio works but not all the time. It seems that the battery in the wrong position is moving and keeps disconnecting from time to time.

Thank you for your reply, Peter
