USB MicroSD Card Reader/Writer - faulty

Post by wcoast »

Hi, in order #446344 I bought a USB MicroSD Card Reader/Writer (id 939) . When I inserted a microSD card it required more force than normal. My Android phone reported that the card was damaged. When I removed the card from the reader, it had light scratches on the plastic case rather than the usual light marks on the contacts. The same card worked without any issues on the other microSD reader/writer in the order (id 1294). I suspect that the contacts in the reader are not formed correctly.

Have you noticed quality problems with these tiny devices? I am not happy since it does not work, but it did not seem to cause more than superficial damage to the card. It hardly seems worthwhile to ask for a replacement.

We rarely have trouble with those, but when you move as many units as we do, 'rarely' is very different from 'never'.

We stand behind what we sell though. Send a note to [email protected] with a link to this thread and the folks there will get a replacement on its way.
