The LiPo charger lists a maximum charge current of 1A given the appropriate Rprog. However, I notice on the datasheet for the MCP73871 that the chip will support up to 1.8A total distributed current (load and charge), with a maximum charge current of 1A.
Does the LiPo charger support this as well? So if I had a panel outputting 1.5A and a 500mA load, would the charger send 1A to the battery and 500mA to the load?
Thank you!
