LiPoly state from factory

Post by mdowdy »

What is the expected state of LiPoly's received from Adafruit? I ask because I was expecting 'fully charged' but the two LP 785060's (2500mAh 3.7V) that I received seem to indicate 'dead'. I was able to recharge them but each took about 6 hours to reach 'done'. I have another smaller battery that I'll test this evening. Thanks.

It is hazardous to ship fully charged LiPo cells - especially in bulk. They ship with a partial charge - enough to keep them above the minimum charge cutoff of the protection circuit.
