Hello,
ordered the pn532 breakout board in June, finally got some time to solder the headers and play with it but no dice.
heres what I have tried so far.
had a ftdi friend, so plugged it into the pn532 ftdi headers, and watched for anything coming out of the pn532, nothing...
installed and configured a Beaglebone Black with the libnfc library, followed the exact instructions for Raspberry Pi, compiled successfully, libnfc cant find pn532
Connected the pn532 to a Saleae logic analyzer in the hopes to see anything from the uart or i2c bus, absolutely nothing.
powered the board from the 5v supply of the ftdi friend, as the pn532 adafruit instructions suggested 5v is preferred for the inductive charge field to operate than 3.3v supply.
led on the pn532 stays on, no problems.
checked and re-checked my soldering job, been soldering for over 20 years and definitely not my first board either from adafruit or elsewhere.
went looking for the hardware v 1.3 schematic, but can only find v1.0 on adafruit website, so not sure how the ftdi headers on the pn532 interface with the nfc chip.
suggestions on what I can try next? can this board be exchanged?
thanks
PN532 seems to be dead...

These https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit-PN ... C-Breakout are the 1.4 files. if they don't help I'll see if there are any 1.3 files available. Could you post clear pictures of your board and the connections to it?

two pics of the board
I have attempted to connected via I2C and UART, direct via FTDI friend and Beaglebone black which was via uart ttyO1 and ttyO2 (with the appropriate pinmux as described in adafruit library)
