Adafruit PowerBoost 500 Basic - EN Pinout

Post by nedelson »

Hi,

Does anyone know how you can circuit the EN pinout so that the booster is only on when there is a USB plunged in? I'm rather an armature at this so as much detail as you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I don't understand. Why would you need the booster at all if you are supplying power through the USB port?

I'm referring to the USB out to a device. The booster is battery powered. In another words, I want the booster (and the green light) to be on when you have a device plugged in rather than using an on/off switch.

That does not look like an option with this board without adding additional hardware and circuitry.
