I want to know if it would be possible to use the powerswitch tails 2 to switch a 48V power supply.
I am planning on doing this with a TIP120 Darlington Transistor to run an ultrasonic atomizer, but I wanted to see if I could somehow use the pstail instead.
Thanks

It is a mechanical relay, so it can switch DC as well as AC. But relay contacts typically have lower ratings when used for DC switching. The specs for the device do not list a DC rating, you might try contacting PowerswitchTail directly to see f they have a DC rating for the relay.

I contacted them and they do not have a DC version.

For switching DC, I like these: https://www.adafruit.com/product/355
More efficient than a TIP120 and no need for the base resistor. You can drive it directly from an Arduino pin.

Yeah, I ended up with a P channel Mosfet.
I started another thread for that circuit here: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=67754 if you're interested in seeing how that turned out.
